【#Vivien Yeo’s Beauty & Lifestyle】Tea and Coffee: Do You Really Understand the Misconceptions of Weight Loss?

【#Vivien Yeo’s Beauty & Lifestyle】茶与咖啡:瘦身的误区你真的了解吗?

As a girl with an endless passion for beauty, today I would like to share with you some misconceptions about using tea and coffee for weight loss. I know these methods are often heard by many people, but they may not be as effective as we imagine. Let's uncover these myths together!

1) Why can't we rely on tea or coffee for weight loss?

We often hear that drinking tea or coffee can boost metabolism and help burn fat. However, tea and coffee alone cannot directly lead to weight loss. They contain certain components, such as caffeine and antioxidants, which may have some influence on metabolism. Caffeine can stimulate the central nervous system, and increase heart rate and metabolic rate, thereby promoting fat oxidation and energy expenditure. However, this effect is temporary and limited. The antioxidants in coffee and tea may have some appetite-suppressing effects, providing a temporary sense of satiety, but this effect is short-lived and varies among individuals. Moreover, relying solely on drinking tea or coffee is not sufficient for weight loss. If we continue to have an unhealthy diet, tea or coffee alone cannot assist in weight loss.

2) Excessive intake of caffeine can have negative effects on health

The caffeine in tea and coffee can provide a boost of energy and alertness, but excessive consumption of caffeine can have negative effects on health:

(1)    Increasing the activity of the nervous system can potentially lead to issues such as anxiety, nervousness, and insomnia.

(2)    It may cause accelerated heart rate, irregular heart rhythm, and elevated blood pressure, which is particularly important for individuals already at risk of cardiovascular diseases.

(3)    Caffeine stimulates stomach acid secretion, which may lead to discomfort, heartburn, and stomach ulcers, among other digestive system issues. For individuals who are already sensitive to their digestive system, excessive consumption of caffeine may exacerbate these problems.

(4)    Excessive consumption of caffeine may lead to the development of tolerance, reducing the body's response to caffeine and requiring higher doses to achieve the same effects.

Therefore, we should consume tea and coffee in moderation and not overly rely on them for weight loss.

3) The additives in tea and coffee may increase calorie intake

Many people enjoy adding sugar, creamer, syrup, or other flavorings to their tea or coffee to enhance their taste. However, these additives often contain a significant amount of calories and sugar, which may harm weight loss plans.

During my meals, I usually accompany them with the consumption of STEP 1234+ PRO-ACTIZYME to avoid excessive absorption of sugars and fats, achieving the effects of fat burning, oil elimination, and reducing water retention. STEP 1 also aids in detoxifying the body, preventing the formation of "fake belly fat" caused by fecal buildup, effectively enhancing the slimming effects.

Tea and coffee are not magical remedies for weight loss. To achieve the desired body shape, it is important to focus on a balanced diet and moderate exercise.
